Everyone is assuming no one wants to coach the RAIDERS cause the fact that they still don't have one and that bullshit media leak and rush to get a story with sean payton. In my opinion they area waiting on Romeo from the Patriots and even if he don't want the job they want to leave it open for him or any other possibility that is on a superbowl team. Since they can't interview any personnell that is still playing.
I guess some people want to jump on the "al davis is tyrant, who is bringing the team down" but most of those people don't know about football in the first place. They forget he was one of the originators of the West coast offense and other milestones.

^^^^^to me it was all one bad media leak. It was false from the get go, they felt stupid so they used the "no one wants to coach for Al Davis" syndrome and say Payton turned it down. But I look at it this way Payton got demoted from play calling in NY and is an assistant to Parcells so why wouldn't he want the opportunity to coach(play devils advocate, even for Davis).
I mean no where was it ever announced by the Raiders organization or even hinted by the team, yet every sports caster thought they came up on some info, which proved to be false. Like I said I think davis has someone in mind right now but he is gonna have to wait till the season is completly over to talk to some personell that is on the super bowl team, and if they don't want the job he'll narrow it down from there.

^^Ummm ok!! Think what u want mane, but we all know the real!! Ofcourse the Raiders org aint gonna say he turned down the job!! It would make them look bad!! But obviously if everyone else thinks that then it must be tru!! But I form my own opinion and I know he wanted the job at first, then after meeting with Davis and talkin with our staff, he realized what a mistake he would be makin!! I have access to some Raiders websites that are supposedly"insiders" and they never made an announcement, EVEN IN BETWEEN THE FIRST SAYING THAT PAYTON WAS COACH AND WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED HE WASN'T. WHY WOULDN'T THEY EVEN HAVE IT ON RAIDER.COM OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT?

If you wanna credit Bill for the super bowl last year, go ahead. I believe it was Gruden's team still and all Bill was doing was just going along with the system. If he actually coached, he would have thought up some new plays for the Super Bowl and not used the same damn plays that Gruden had made for the Raiders.
