The Oakland Raiders sign QB Cody Pickett

The Raiders have signed Cody Pickett as a free agent in case Andrew Walter isn’t ready to start the season because of the knee surgery he underwent in the off season. Pickett played in 2004 and 2005 for the San Francisco 49ers and the results weren’t pretty. Pickett played in 6 games (2 starts) for the 49ers and he completed 18 of 45 (40%) passes for 195 yards with 0 TD passes and 4 interceptions (16.4 QB Rating). He also carried the football 14 times for 47 yards (3.4 ypc). Don’t expect much out of Pickett in 2007.




I think dude played Special teams more than QB.

I remember seeing him playing with the special people on the 9ers. his stats weren't great, but then again no 9ers stats were good then, they were running thru QBs like water

one of the games he started he had no fucking chance in. Ity was against the bears at soldier field and it was hella windy. Felt bad that he was finally getting a chance and it happened to be under such shitty conditions

i hope he gets a chance to do well in oakland or at least get some time. he still has many pac 10 records from his days at UW hookin up with reggie williams. i wont say i thought he'd ever have a ton of success in the nfl but i gotta root for a husky!!

He had one great year at UW and that was the peak of his career. He is tough as nails, though.
