@threadstarter.....the purple cover, as I Pukokeki Ioulu Momu alluded to, was done because back when Raekwon dropped OB4CL the cassette tape was purple and wrapped in purple plastic; And I believe the jewel case of the CD was supposed to be purple....Raekwon did it cuz he wanted to show how his tape was different, and a whole new era of rap music. Was he ever right; I still listen to that album at least once a month, its a constant in my vehicle. Anyway, if that's the cover, I'm even more excited that he's gonna have Ghostface on there with him again. Has anyone heard the stuff Raekwon has been leaking lately? Dude is on fire, same with Ghost.....Chamber Music is a dope album (just too short) with that vintage Wu sound.....I wonder if he's gonna have RZA on the boards?

.......I know why it's purple, that's not what I don't like. As I said it looks like an amateur made it. Maybe it's just me but I believe for albums, most of the artwork should be created with in the camera and only adjusted and corrected and text added in Photoshop. A great recent example:



Shit, the first OB4CL is another example:


Only slight effects added to the pic like the fire but it doesn't look amateurish. The new Rae cover looks like it was made entirely in Photoshop. The smoke, maybe the c4ds, the blur, brushes, obviously Rae and Ghost are cut out of a pic. I'm just saying this and not feeling it cuz I like art, either way whatever cover it has I just want it to have good music.

Yea no doubt, that Maino is on point.....I like this OB4CL2 cover because it is a successor of the first, same dudes, same pose, same font, hopefully same classic sound....Maybe that's what they are trying to say by having a similar cover?

that shit looks like a fucking mixtape cover. Its missing all the shit from the foreground. I think thats what throws it off. I really don't see anyway it can live up to OB4CL so this is just a setup for dissapointment. Lex Diamond and Immobilitary didn't come close so I can't imagine part II any where closer to it.

Rae was on aftermath too and the album was suppose to be done on Aftermath but dre lost interest but said he could keep the beats. I hope this album is fire.

it does look like a mixtape cover. could of been professional shot by a photographer but not professional edited digital image. shits over exposed with the lighting, then again who gives a shit, it's just the cover and not the music.
