Kansas City Rapper Killed in Las Vegas
Kansas City, MO/South of Las Vegas, NV --- A Kansas City rapper is shot and killed in a neighborhood south of Las Vegas. A security guard found 22-year-old Anthony Watkins, also known as "Fat Tone", dead inside a car at the end of a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood near Vegas. Another man was dead on the ground nearby. Investigators say both men were shot several times. In October 2003, Watkins was supposed to perform at Millenium Club on Kansas City's east side, but someone shot him during what police call a 'rolling disturbance.'
Watkins had just left a radio station near 47th and Main when that shooting happened. Detectives do not know who's responsible for Fat Tone's death, but police in Kansas City say Watkins may have known something about the murder of a California rapper named Mac-Dre. Dre died in a drive-by shooting in Kansas City last fall.

Born Anthony Watkins, 22-year-old Fat Tone was found dead in a car at the end of a cul-de-sac in a new development near Southern Highlands -- and a second man was found dead on the ground nearby. Both were shot multiple times.
A security guard found the car with its back window shot out just outside the Southern Highlands development.
Kansas City officials say Watkins may have been one of several who knew something about the murder of a California rapper named Mac-Dre, who died in a drive-by along 71 highway in Kansas City last fall.
Prosecutors in Kansas say Watkins was also charged in the 2001 death of a pregnant teen, but those charges were later dropped when witnesses who'd originally named him backed out.
Metro police says they currently have no suspects and that the murders are still under investigation.

Andre Dow, a 34-year-old rap artist promoter known as "Mac Minister".
Tanisha Aaron, a 27-year-old female
Jason Mathis, a 24-year-old male.
