I regret to have to say this but I just found out Sleepy Dave Cee passed this weekend. Any underground artist out here in Sac has had to rub elbows with this man. He DJ'd all the underground shows, always supported independent artists and was a real good dude. I dont have exact details right now but I hear it was some kind of kidney failure. I'm sorry I was never able to thank him for all the support he's showed me over the years. Always encouraged me to keep doin the thang even when I wanted to stop. Man, Sleepy Dave was my nigga. I know for a fact that any rapper thats anybody out here done fucked with Sleepy Dave at one time or another. So Sac stand up and pay homage to DJ Sleepy Dave, we just lost one of our biggest supporters.

Damn homie, that sucks. R.I.P ta Sleepy Dave Cee. That cat was cool as fuck, I remember back in the day when he was workin at Top Ten Records on 65th. Anytime I bought anything, he would throw a gang of local hood shit on the strength, just to help get the local folks some exposure. I got to hear alot of shit that I never would have given a chance otherwise. Still got my copies of Redrum & Inner City Poet I bought from him back in the day.
