STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.(WPIX)— Rising TV and Radio Personality DJ Megatron, 32, was shot dead early Sunday morning and police are now on the hunt for his killer or killers.
Megatron -- whose real name is Corey McGriff -- was shot in the abdomen in the Clifton the section sometime around 2 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. Published reports say it was normal for Megatron to get home between 2 and 3 a.m., after working a gig at a club or music event.
Right now, detectives have no clues -- or eyewitnesses, for that matter.
Family members are devastated. The former HOT 97 personality just moved into a new house with his girlfriend, who recently gave birth to their third child.
