Two Teens Shot In Oakland, One Dies
OAKLAND -- A shooting in Oakland Friday night left a 19-year-old man dead and a woman injured, bringing Oakland's homicide count to 103 for the year.
Officers responded to the 4000 block of Santa Rita Street on reports of a shooting around 10:45 p.m., according to police spokesman Officer Jeff Thomason.
Oakland resident Marco Casillas and his 19-year-old girlfriend were found suffering gunshot wounds and transported to Highland Hospital, where Casillas died.
Casillas' girlfriend has been listed in stable condition.
Thomason said no suspects have been identified and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
