Funny this came up because I am researching this disease right now. One of my friend's dad has this disease and I have seen a lot of weird things. Let me tell you guys, this disease is NOT people being delusional. Some of the cases maybe, but definitely not all. I've seen these things under his arm with an ultraviolet light. They are phosphorescent and glow different colors. I haven't seen it, but my friend says he has seen them move while they were watching it under the light. This guy has done lots of research on it himself and seen all kinds of doctors. Anyone high up that might have some knowledge of it usually clams up really fast and refuses to talk or see him again. I don't know if it is because they think he is crazy, don't know what to make of it, or know something we don't. We have been wondering if it might be some sort of bioweapon gone wrong. Most of the cases have only appeared within the last few years, so it certainly is possible. Also, a lot of the cases also have lyme disease(he doesn't), but that shows a weaker immune system could lead to aiding the contraction of the infection.
This really does need to become more mainstream though. I can see why doctors claim these people are crazy. A doctor refers the patient to doctor after doctor, meanwhile they have wounds that won't heal, weird proteins coming out of thier bodies, and can't sleep because of this scratching burrowing feeling. A few months or years after this vicious cycle will get to your head. It can make you very irratible and probably even make a difference in your physical appearance. I'm pretty sure I have read a few of you guys are biologists on here before(I think it was this forum), but if so, maybe you guys can read up on this stuff and recognize things a simpleton like me wouldn't.
But my main point here is that these people are NOT crazy. I've seen it with my own eyes.
