couple serious questions ive been wanting to ask

when you enter a bathroom and theres an old black or hispanic dude in a bow tie and shit extending soap out for you to wash your hands then giving you a paper towel for drying....how required are you to tip? especially when its at a bar and your taking multiple pisses throughout the night. you gotta tip him everytime? or do you only tip when you utilize the mouthwash or cologne or whatever other stuff these guys always have? what if you've got a tab going and no cash, should you just not wash your hands or is it no big deal not to tip these guys?

also

what does a dj do? when theres turn tables and shit it seems more clear, but when youve got these guys with a macbook what are they doing? theyve got headphones on and are moving around like theyre doing something intense but are they simply browsing and clicking around on their itunes playlist?

i'd appreciate some answers

I'm not sure what the fuck to do with bathroom attendants. I usually don't tip them because I'm perfectly capable of washing my own hands, getting my own paper towel, and opening my own door. It's not like I asked for their help...I'm too busy tipping people who do shit because it's their job (like the bartender).

^^sometimes the places arent even classy which is like wtf is this?

so sounds like you guys dont see it as a mandatory tip. cool. i agree but still tip them sometimes cause theyre usually old and got that sympathetic look to them. ill take some mouthwash or something just to feel like im getting something out of my dollar. i just feel guilty when i dont and dont even wanna make eye contact with them. ive always wondered if most ppl tip them or not

i always tip a dollar per drink at a bar...even though i think that shit is fuckin retarded.
and i usually tip 20% at a restaurant which i also think is fuckin retarded.

but i just feel compelled to follow the social rules of tipping

only ppl i tip with full belief behind it is the bike riding chinese or pizza delivery dudes. they deserve every dollar of their tip

This thread cracks me up for some reason. I only tip those bathroom attendants when I take a cigarette from them or a few pieces of gum. Otherwise, nope I never give them money.

Lmao @ macbook DJ's

They're actors if all they're doing is playing remixed songs by another dj.

If the guy has programs on his macbook and is constantly remixing and dancing... well, that man is a god among men.

I usually avoid washing my hands / using their stuff. I hate situations where I'm forced to pay for some shit I can manage on my own. Bathroom attendants are a step above homeless people that wash your windshield when you park. Unless they're selling black and milds.

I wash my own hands and grab my own towel while dude watches.

As for the so called "DJs" they are not DJs, they just spent money on a program that mixes the music they have on their Itunes for them and they act like they're doing something. Real DJs use the original track, blend them while using the pitch control and actually control the digital vinyl. Not press play at the right time.

lol

ok injecting knowledge
these "mac book dj's" are dj's.
we just dont have to carry crates of vinyl around anymore.
its all on the laptop these days.
serato/ableton made it this way.

so when u see a dj staring at the laptop's playlist in between songs, imagine him thumbing thru vinyl in a crate.

LOL NO.
THIS DOESNT EXIST.
SERATO DOES HELP NOVICE DJ'S OUT BUT IT DOESNT FUCKING MIX FOR YOU AUTOMATICALLY LIKE SOME ANDROID DJ.
