Questions About the Rap Business .

What is the advantage or disadvantage of having one guy do your beats. ???
Locksmith uses E-A-SKI which is dope. Early Mobfigaz had all Rob Lo ..
Mac Dre had his favorites for certain albums ............ Keak Da Sneak had mozart do almost all of Defied .... Etc.

Also how does a rapper get payed ? Every two weeks like us ? Do you get the check in the mail.? How do you pay your producer ?????

And say I buy an 11/5 album on itunes - do they get a check for that ????
Is it better for the rapper if I buy online or @ say Rasputan or Dimples. ?


And say someone wants a verse from you. You do it get paid can they only use it once.? Or over & over ??????

What if I buy a an old LiL RIC album does Master P still get paid off that ?

I'll just answer yer first question:

If you're an artist just coming out I see ALOT of advantage to fuckin with one or two producers on yer first album....Reason being, look at successful artists of the past like Too $hort, E-40, Mac Dre etc....The producers helped CREATE their sound. Both compliment eachother and makes the project unique as opposed to having 6 different people just "make beats" and u rap over them.

Most of yer other questions are just kinda dumb for lack of a better term. I'm not knockin' ya, just sayin.
