Ok so I got broadband not too long ago. Dude comes and looks at the back of my comp and says he needs to install a network card (ethernet card). I was unaware of that so I let him install it and hook shit up. Now I just watched a lil video on how to connect the modem and it says I can use ethernet OR USB. So I look in the box that the modem came in and sure enough there is a fucking USB cord in there...

Now why would the guy tell me I need an ethernet card when I could connect it through USB instead? Was I tricked into something? Or is it better to have the ethernet card?

Network cards are easier to setup. Plus connecting your cable modem through USB can sometimes be a bitch to setup and possibly a problem down the road.

I was just wonderin if dude was tryna pull shit on me.
No he wasn't about the card. But he was when he told you he had to take naked pictures of you for it to work. I can't believe you fell for that.

Juan Million, I apologize for not giving you a serious answer.
It's also good that you make sure you look at what they're doing.
haha, it's cool. I was just confused cause I was told that I could install it myself but then the guy said I needed a network card. I agree ya gotta keep an eye on these fools.
