Has any Bay Area artists had a Bay Area producer construct a beat around an acappella for you that you have been completely satisfied with?

I have heard a lot of them and at some point during the verse the beat gets a tiny bit off from the verse (or maybe just a single bar). I got something in the works and need a producer that has a good track record with doing this.

I am going to be looking for producers from everywhere from California to the Swiss Alps, but I wanted to give a Bay Area home team producer the first crack at it.

Trying to get this new album done for a 6-16-09 release.

Thank You in advance.

this is a paying gig? :)
I can do some THANGS!.. most producers should be able to do this??.. what type/style beats you like? hit me up. let me know whats good!!

Depends on the producer. Most of the time producers just shoot me production because they know it is going to get heard. I don't sit on production or albums, I put them out (this is going to be my 17th album and I have like 6 compilations on top of that that I presented).

But if someone is doing quality work on it and has a fee, they let me know the fee "UPFRONT" then that is what they will be paid if I chose to use their work.

I am actually looking for an old Long Beach/Los Angeles sounding style of beat. Something like off of Bad Azz "Personal Business" cd or off of the first Snoop Doggs Eastsidaz cd. Whoever does the production under the vocals will understand why.

Whoa. Let me clear something up. I have gotten a few e-mails (because of this post and the post for it on myspace) from producers asking to do it for free because they heard the verse is a 2pac verse. I want to state right here in my own typed words it is not, I repeat is not a 2pac verse so if that is the reason you want to do the production then I am sorry to disappoint you.

I was supposed to record something with that camp back when I was 15-Years Old, but I never recorded anything with 2pac EVER! I did record a song with his boy Plex (Greg from Marin), and when I left the studio the song was me first, Plex second and an artist named Pistol on the last verse. Those cats disappeared on me and I don't know what happen to that song. I don't know if they put a 2pac verse on there or anything. I have no clue and have never heard the song again. Last I heard the engineer, some cat name Shilo had taken the masters.

They only people I know of that have unreleased 2pac tracks are Khayree (songs that didn't make the Blackilation because of clearance issues) and Suge has 2 songs with C-Bo and 2pac that haven't been released.

Hope that cleared some things up.

BLESSINGS,

"L"

the accapella shouldnt be falling off the instrumental if its synced right in protools. the original acapella was it recorded digitally or on tape?.. when i did the remix for nas, it was perfect timing, i just had to find out what the original bpm was. i also remixed my own freeway song, not a single problem.

The original was recorded digitally at Encore Studio in Burbank. Yeah the producer working on it is doing a great job so far. I am happy with the way it is shaping up.
