I read your interview a couple of days ago JL, and i dunno why, but this question kinda just popped in my head, so im asking you and also Swick, TechN9neHQ, and the other veterans of this board
How do you feel with tech making a rock album? JL, from reading your talk about how you were with Anghellic to accepting it, do you like this idea of tech's?

That Kabosh track on the 2nd disc is Top 40 all day...they could honestly make a shit ton more money with a properly marketed album like that just cause of the crossover potential.

Im leader of the pack bitch!!!!! nah ...haha..

to answer the question..

before Anghellic...I would never of accepted this sound. Just Like I said...i felt like Tech came outta left field with Anghellic and I didnt like it. Cause I was used to that "G" sound..

But now it doesnt surprise me..and I even look forward to it. It is wierd to hear Snug..(whom I've been a fan almost as long as tech)...on a rock beat.

But its all good now....I think Tech would sound good with a NO beat cd. Just like..."welcome to my world" intro..
I mean...he is just that talented..

the KABOSH project is fuckin PLATINUM...when I heared it, I was thinkin' that it's a KRIZZ KALICO & TECH N9NE version of:
Gnarles Barkley, Linkin Park, Sevendust, Fort Minor, Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz, etc. ... but with their own type of style.
both mainstream and straight up music lovers will LOVE KABOSH. The day-1'er fans of Tech like JLMACN will definately feel the same way he feels... the new fans might get confused, but if truely open-minded, they'll understand that Tech and Kalico are TALENTED ENOUGH to ADAPT BACK AND FORTH to rap and rock and metal and mainstream and whatever and STILL be dope because of their broad skills....hell, I'd love to hear Kalico do a gospel album in his own way.

alot of people believe it would be a lateral move....and not too many rappers could pull off an album like that.

I personally feel it would be a vertical move and expose him to an even wider audience than he is exposing himself to now (insert joke about tech exposing himself here)

Kaliko & Tech are two super creative and talented guys.....I think they could make a country album or jazz album and still come away victorious.

Just my 2 cents

Good question and will be debated on until the album drops I am sure.

haha, a gospel album would suit him with the voice of his kind!
Im kinda thinking that when Everready goes big, you will have all these fans going crazy over it for the longest time, then there gonna see a rock album, and kinda stop in place like, " what the heck?"
I feel that, not to be racist so dont take it like im being racist, but african americans are gonna flip the fuck out

hahaha I think most African Americans(well, the young mainstream loving ones and most of the minorities like myself) will think the same way I thought :"Oh shit, these guys are way better than Gnarles Barkley!".

well i can only wish the best luck to him and Kaliko. I havent been able to listen to the album yet, so i dunno how little pills sounds like, i have 2 songs a friend gave to me here which is Welcome to the Midwest and The Rain. but taken from how everyone is voicing how great this album is, and Techn9nehq sayin little pills turned out great, i can only build the anticipation in gettin my hands on this album when i finally make it home.
I'm also kinda wondering if they got Everready distributed to the AAFES retailers, the military Walmart, since they have these all over here in the bases here in iraq.

agreed there. i'm a fan of sage francis, who, for those who don't know him, does really talented slam poetry as well as some rap. download "how to write a political poem" if you wanna see what i mean. But tech has the voice, the flow and the lyrics to do songs with no beat. i would listen to that stuff any day, and i really liked the my world intro. just amazing stuff.

KABOSH...

FROM MY INDEPTH CONVO WITH TRAV, AND THE OPINIONS OF ALL THE FANS ON HERE AND IN THE STREETS, TOP 40 PLATINUM FOR SURE. I'D GO FOR THAT ALBUM BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE IN MY OPINION, EVEN THOUGH I KNOW IT SHOULDNT BE THAT SOON, ITS JUST BECAUSE I WANNA HEAR MORE OF IT.

I THINK BETWEEN LITTLE PILLS AND THE RAIN, I'VE LISTENED TO THOSE MORE TIMES THAN ANY OTHER SONG ON THE ALBUM!!!
