ON TEST OR APPLICATION DO U MARK LATINO AND HISPANIC ?

WHY DO U CONSIDER YOUR SELF LATIN OR HISPANIC ? LATIN WOULD BE SOUTHERN EUROPEAN , HISPANIC IS SPANISH .

I DO UNDER STAND THE FACT THAT MOST OF US ARE NOT FULL BLOODED NATIVE WE HAVE LATIN AND HISPANIC BLOOD IN US BUT IF YOU CONSIDER YOUR SELF MEXICAN ,SALVIDOREAN , CUBAN , OR WHAT EVER COMIN FROM A SOUTHERN OR CENTRAL AMERICAN COUNTRY WHY DO U CALL YOUR LATIN OR HISPANIC INSTEAD OF NATIVE. I KNOW THERES ALOT OF EUROPEAN INFLUENCE IN OUR CULTURES SUCH AS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, SPEAKING SPANISH,ENGLISH OR PORTIGUEES(sP?).

i always thought the term latino included puerto ricans, cubans, columbians, ect, ect.....while the term
hispanic meant that your roots eventually trace back to Spanish decent. and since i am Mexican which is a combination of Spanish and native i consider hispanic more accurate than latino because latino include all those previous races.

anyways i would put chicano, if that isnt available i would probly put caucasion second and then hispanic third

like i said before neither is my top choice my top choice would be chicano. but if i had to choose between the two it would be hispanic because it is the more accurate of the 2 (even though it isnt very accurate).

what would you put if it said you had to choose, and it was very broad. (this is just hypothetical cause i think it is almost always optional)

1. caucasian
2. black
3. asian
