Here we go ya'll. This is a hard question to answer cuz I got so much shit to say about this. First let me say, ain't too many niggaz as real as me in this game! I've done it all. I'm certified (I spit nines, did crime, and did time) in this shit. Niggaz know my work from the street to the pen, and I'm one of the most respected from my set. I'm respected by crips and damus. Real speech! If niggaz don't know my past just ask somebody. If they know Dago street history and ain't no youngsta (ask your og's), I can't be left out. Now let me tell you which rappers that I've heard are real.
Now peep this, some niggaz had street reps before they were known for rappin'(that's where I fall in at too). And this follows you wherever you go. Now some niggaz got their reps after they were known for rappin' already. Some niggaz have to try and get their stripes after they put out an album, cuz they don't have none prior to that, so they put a lot on it to try to make people think they're real. And some of them may be real, but most ain't. Now gettin' a rep after you're known for rappin' is good (look at Pac), but that's if you don't go to the pen for a stretch(look at Shyne). If you get your rep in front of the publics eye it increases your credibility, sells etc., cuz the whole world see's your work right in front of their eyes, that's why folks loved and respected Pac so much. And when you do it like me, Trey Dee (he's double og though) people have to find out about you slowly but surely. They can tell how authentic your stories are on your album, then they ask around about you, and it's confirmed. Of course you're going to have a few niggaz that's not going to like you, and speak bad on you, but if your name is hella respected, people that's being told that about you won't even believe it(unless they have some hate towards already and want to hear something negative about you). Feel me? So here's my list of rappers I respect, and rappers who's skills I respect. And just cuz I didn't mention them it don't mean they ain't real. It's just that I haven't heard about em', and I'm connected to the pen (state and feds), and the street, and hear about niggaz if they was puttin' it down. What kills me is when niggaz think other niggaz are riders and I know of em', and I know it ain't true, or they haven't put in as near as much work as me, and yet niggaz be thinkin' they're riders(hilarious). Here's my list. Oh yeah, and one more thing some of the rappers that are real ain't hella good rappers.
Real Ones(I've heard of their work that they did on the street. Either by bangin' or slangin')
Trey Dee
Keitar Rock
Big Dresta
C-Bo
X-Raided
Bay Loc (San Diego NHC 47. In the Du-Low Gang)
Mitchy Slick
Fat Joe (Puerto Rican in the feds told me some serious shit about Fat Joe)
Baby-Cash Money (when I was in the feds in Louisiana in 94' some N.O. niggaz told me about him. Ya'll don't know it used to be another co-owner of Cash Money, but some real shit went down)
Master P (the nigga did dirt ya'll. confirmed)
C-Murder
Scarface
Capone (Nore's homey)
E-40
Jay-Z (slangin', believe it or not. I know New York niggaz that knew him when he was in the game)
Dam Dash (slangin', was in the game too. For real)
It's some more niggaz too, I just can't think of em' right now, I'll come bac and add to it later.
I know a gang of niggaz that started tryna' to really bang and get active after they became rappers, when it should be the other way around, and become non active (like og Trey Dee he's not out there bangin' puttin' in work, but he still represents and will put in work when neccessary)
Rappers skillz I respect(some are in the list above too)
Crooked I
Jayo Felony
Lynch
Nas
AZ
Ludacris
Eminem
Tech N9ne
Ras Kass
Yukmouth
Slip Capone
Old Kurupt
Jadakiss
Ecay Uno
I got to come bac and add to both of these lists. This shit requires a lot of thinkin'. I'll holla ya'll. one. LIL C.S. aka C.S. Heat
