Its a cold situation. I know personally it is easier to give advise then to follow it, as I find it hard to turn the cheek to any disrespect. Is the threat legitimate, or just disrespectful. If its legit, then ya know the police are already aware because they monitor the S.D Rap scene and whats being said. So anything happen to the other guy, you would be the first person of interest. Would you be willing to go the distance..is it worth it, because some of us may live our life like we aint got shit to lose. Whats at stake if you avoid the confrontation..what a reputation...shit if this won't be an attempt at tarneshing it there will be another situation after it..
I would hope that that the situation is resolved smartly, and hope you realize that life is so short and this lil speed bump is one of many that you will face in life, respect is earned, but as you may already know respect is also forgotten as time goes by...what you gonna do put in work all over again for the new generation to acknowledge you, maybe this is just sign that points you in another direction as you reflect on the meaning of life to you and what is right for you and your families future....there is too much pussy and good times to worry about some hard dick who probably aint gonna amount to much or be thinkin about you in 10 years or so after your rap game is over and you enjoyin life.

if you are a doper raper then him then drop that 100 percent heat and take his fan base flat pockets heart more then anything
I wouldn't even acknowledge his existence in no rap unless you had a real cool relationship before...then I would do like Cormega did to NAs...

(Verse 1)
When I came home from jail we was brothers
Your beef was my beef
Remeber that time with Butta on your video set
When he was talkin' bout shootin'
If you don't pay him, then I got into it
Son you gave me a hundred dollars when I came home
I didn't complain I wasn't in it to gain
You my nigga when you hot and when the temperature changed
Now we enemies, 'til we enter the grave
When I got signed to Def Jam I offered you ten grand
You said you didn't want it, then you started acting funny
It started with the cover of YSB
A picture of The Firm, everyone except me
Then my voice disappeared off La Familia
That's when it was clear to me there wasn't no real love
I was out The Firm, unless I signed a production deal
Which I didn't do cus son, that wasn't real
I was never jealous of you
In fact I was proud of you
I smiled when I heard you on "Live at the Barbeque"
I respect you as an artist thou I'm no longer fond of you
I gave you love from the heart unlike the people surrounding you

(Chorus)
Love in, Love out
Nowaways is no honor, only drama
Your friend today can be your enemy tomorrow
Never show weakness, tell 'em no secrets
What's deep is, I had love for you
But due to situations, I can't fuck with you
Trust is a luxury I can't afford
Betrayal's something that I can't ignore

(Verse 2)
My love is real
Some earn it, some are unworthy
Some, walk in the prescence of men with thoughts to hurt me
And wonder why I throw shade and stay to myself
Cus I'm me, plus I'm not betraying myself
I'm free from the burden of extending my hand
To my man's that don't deserve it
I only trust fam
When I was locked up, you was doing you excluded me
You should be happy now that I'm doing me
Niggas, acting like I won't give up a habit
I got a question: Who came to spank weight empty handed?
You smile in my face yet your eyes reveal the hate
Next time you talk about me, mention I ain't fake
I'm living my dream, live yours
I gave sweat and tears
You didn't even buy my CD, you say you my man? (uh)
You so jealous your emotions make you careless
I hope when you hear this it makes you think before you staring
At your last I hear you scheemin'
I'm reading you your last right
Get your mind off primitive thoughts and get your cats right
I'm not limited, without rap I'd still be gettin' it
Yours truly, the dealer / lyricist

(Chorus)

Do you mitch, your to established for the bullshit. Let him get at his fan base of his inner circle, whats 5 more fans to you haha. You putting out a record with his name without him payin you makes no dollaz so it makes no sense(cents). Thats free promo for him. If not let one of ya little homiez on ya label do diss records back and fourth but its not going to make mush noise.

check out the shirts in my sig, I been tryna get a connect with you let me know if you can work something out with a photoshoot with you sportin one of em.

I think it all depends on if this is somebody you actually know or not. I mean the SD rap scene is pretty small and closed so if its somebody you know and the threat is serious thats different than if its some local nigga from a rival hood just trying to get a name off of yours...like the other dude said..if thats the case just let him develop his fanbase within his inner circle and do you

since this thread didnt just have gangstas reply...id say...did he see you? did he murder you? if not whats to do about a threat...you shoulda looked at that nigga in his eeys, nodded and kept it movin...if hes gonna do somethin you just gonna get killed...or you just gonna have a shootout..or box eachother...or just realize its bullshit...right? im sure you know in south east to watch your back so you should naturally know how to deal with it but shit even the best has gotten caught slipping over things like jealousy and envy...what can you do? if he got a problem he got a problem..but if its gotten to the point where a nigga makin songs about murdering you hes already givin' a fuck enough to threaten it..why take it any further especially if you see him and he sees you...if yall had no altercation physically on site then its all good..

if his angle to make bread is to diss you let him do that
piggybacking only works if you run hard enough for him to ride ya back

the way the net is bad news travels fast anyway..if anything happens in the streets someone will jump on the net and talk about it..and vice versa

play it by ear but i wouldnt say be any less visible

put hands on that fool mitch! nah but on the real thats a good question cause if hes talking about smokin you when he see you on site on records i could see where it would be hard to let that shit ride and not say nuthin to him....on the other hand tho homie might not be worth the bullshit that comes with beefn,i would try to keep in on wax,if he takes it over that tho he should catch a fade

Well, its hard, especially if its ya homie. But jealousy n hate get to where shit is outta hand. Have you tried to reach out? Find if shit can be squashed? Obviously it has gotten a bit overboard if he got to the point where he made a song/cd bout ya.
But in all, homies dont got that far.

If anything, send some lyrical shots at him.

I think you are on a level where you can make shit happen for people in Daygo. And people will follow your lead (like squashing beef and working with others).

I think what some people are failing to put in the equation is the San Diego Artists mentality. In this case it is not like you can always just use logic..like reaching out ^^^ Ive said it before its the ones ya helpin who think you fuckin them the most. In the long run when you help some people..its always not enough and any lack of sucess on their part will be blamed on you anyways....Puttin hands on someone or somethin like that..is too easy...for someone like this Id rather break them down mentally by continue being a sucess..something they aint...Its hard for some people to deal with shit thats out of their control.

Jealousy breeds hatred and that shit's an epidemic. Sure you can smash the motherfucker on the spot and cause yourself giant setbacks in the process. Go wail on ya punching bag, write some bars and move FORWARD.

That shit is foul! I put myself in the position as the "homie" promotin the CD. The thought of it makes my stomach turn. I couldn't do that. Even if I was dead broke. Nope! All trust at that point is non existent! Pretty much common sense. To me anyways...I'm too...."how say?....parah-noy"

it's easy for a lot of people, mitch, to say, "oh fuck it, it's part of the rap game" but it's never like that when you've really done dirt and the homies have died for your set. it's on a whole different level. you just don't know if he's gettin some promo for his shit or just usin rap as a phone and lettin you know what time it is. on a personal level, someone dissed my shit and afterward said they were real i would really call them out on it. you know your rep and you know the younger crowd is gonna test you anyways. there is no way of escapin your past when it comes to this gang stuff.
