we all grew up lookin foward to feats., but these day albums seemin more like compilations, rather that solo albums..from the Spice1, E40 , Dru Down, Too Short, 4 Tay, Celly Cel Lynchs etc. early albumbs was straight them going hard...not too many feats

& the feats comp the album....seems these days you get 3-4 solo tracks from a artists cd you copin...

i also understand with out the heavyweights givin a chance/ lettin young talent shine is a waste, but that for compilations/mixtapes right...I still support the bay but its gettin watered down

Ill tell u what else is gay. u can tell on alot of new collaborations they didnt spend 1 day in the studio 2gether, all done via e-mail. back in the day when people actually went in the studio 2gether songs seemed realer.

To Reply to Rossibreath. I think as long as the song is hot you can have 1 verse. Look at the Song Biggie did wit Bone. he only had 1 verse and it was hot. So my saying is make an impression on your verse and its all good. it dont matter who came the hottest long as its all hot

guy alltime great cds like cloud 9,dre-d,game related,funk mobb,mobb house,j-mack,steady mobb'n never made it out of the bay...shit alot of westcoast fans dont even like a wide range of west coast[i.e. pittsburgh,sf,sac,epa]acts

to me bay will always be fringe know why???????????

fo' real'..im serious...bay rap[i.e. luni coleone,all sac rap,11/5,young d boyz,cellski,udi,bnt]...that aint fo most ...because they assault the listener's ear...but to me that was always the charm of gangsta rap

everyone you named are all factors in bay music history^(too many to name), but as a face to the gen. bay fan those i mentioned uptop put it down aswell

miss the day of when you cop'd a artist cd, it was a full package from the bars to the hooks
