question for XIVers

Got back from Salas, third visit total and I saw a grip of XIV out there. It seems like 90% of Latinos who bang out there are Northerners. Why is this ratio so much smaller in other places?

Some cities its maybe 50 percent Norte, some closer to 20 or 30. When the split happened, shouldn't a larger amount of Latinos claimed 14? What are your thoughts on this?

Would you chalk it up to people who aren't down for their shit, never hit the county or state and got schooled, basically someone who did no dirt, then got influenced by a migrator and claimed sur?

Do you think it is the fact that there are just so many Surenos migrating and taking up space?

You think when certain Norte clicks formed up, there were rivals out there that claimed sur to oppose, just like in the blood/crip situation where say a blood hood starts up and a non-affiliated hood claims crip?

I'm not disrespectin people who come from towns where they are outnumbered or where alot of folks claim Sur, this post ain't doggin nobody I'd just like to see what some real XIV folks have to say about it.

Aye XIV still 14 tho Stranger. I would bet that Bulldogs started claiming 14 as 'Nation' instead of 'Norte' so the homeboys with tats didn't feel stupid. But if y'all take issue yea XIVers

yup. you can get shot for that shit. Not too long ago I passed by Fresno county and shit so I saw a lot of flamed up motherfuckers couldn't tell if they were homies or not. A 14 or an XIV can make a difference.

They took 14 for nation cause the main gang in fresno at the time was F-14 (Fresno Norte) then the split happened. I dont think that they did so they would feel stupid cause of their tatts. I dont think cowards ass malinche (traitors) have any sense of honor or shame when they switch.

@stranger is it still taken in the san jo area as 14 being a mutt thang. cause in the Fresno area 14 now only means norte, there is no confusion. BDS means bulldogs now. I know in the early ninties homies tripped on 14 nation and XIV norte.

I know it was off subject, despensas. In Fresno the majority of ppl claim bulldogs plain and simple. It is that way for the main reason that more than likely bangers are going to get locked up and if you are a square then when you go to the hall or county jail all you gonna see is bulldogs, cause norte and sur got their own tanks.

you should of hit me up homie we could of took a trip and see how we enes have to network to stay alive. but if you are riding thru again the best bet to see if norte or mutt is vocabulary. cause in the Fresno county and no way in hell any homeboy is gonna let the word dog come out of his mouth unless referring to a K-9. and aint no way in hell a homie gonna wear a Fresno state shirt if it has a bulldog on it.

I would have homie, just didn't think of it at the time. One of homie's uncles is supposed to open up his own Jiffy Lube type of thing in Fresno and he has a lot of Norte Familiy, not sure if this particular uncle is Norte or not but I'll let you know the name of the store. My homie is supposed to drive down there on the weekends and then drive back here, its like a part time job. Stay up.

About the Topic

The last census in Salinas said that the cities population is something like 78% Latinoand 65% of the population is under 25, plus the fact that there isn't shit to do around here, add a gang-bang mentality on the city streets, 12 Norteno sets, 4 or 5 Sureno sets, 1 or 2 crip gangs, In a city of 164,000 people. Thats why when you come here on every street, in every store, every couple of cars you see gangstas. There are a lot of surenos around here though. Where did you go when you came here Already Dead? what side of town?

I think alot of it has to do with the population and the way a city is laid out. A lot of bigger cities like San Jose, Sacramento, the Bay, have places that you can go and the population is diversified, you'll see whites, blacks, asians, mexicans. In other parts of the city I'm sure they have the same problems Salinas has but someone visiting from out of town wouldn't see those areas unless they made a wrong turn or something. In Salinas there are 7 exits off of 101, 4 of them take you straight into the East Side the other 3 take you into the North Side which isn't much better. So Already Dead, the reason it seems like that to you is probably because it is all up front. There is no "Tourist Area"
