pilgrims aint shit, fuck columbus and them, they didnt discover shit, and they raped and killed innocent natives, why are we celebrating? because white people brainwashed us. now lets go eat some good ass food at grandmas

imma tell my kids there aint no thanksgiving in nicaragua, but it was adopted by my family because our parents came to the us to have us and raise us, so my family gives thanks for havin what we got and havin each other. its all about the fam.

No. columbus got permission from the Spanish government under the Christian doctrine of discovery stating that if you find a new land and the natives are not, or refuse to convert to Christianaty you are allowed to do as you please. Theres an account of Columbus shanking 2 indians because he demanded all teh arrows he wanted and the indians said no. This did not start in the US, do not be mis informed. Go look up what Columbus did to the Arawak indians in the Bahamas. Friendly relations my ass.

But yea I think this is a good topic and we talked about it in school alot since my school is pretty much different in the sense that alotta people that go here are either stoners or free thinkers. This is hella tough because I do not want my kid lied to like I was and find out all late. But I know if my lil muhfucker ran up in school tellin the teachers they were fulla shit in front of the class HE would get in trouble. thats the way the system goes. Why should he be punished for tellin the truth? Ima teach him ina way "Dont believe what you see". Always question. If my wife wants him to be of a certian religion so be it. But I will make sure he questions them. Even if there is truth in religion, you should always question what MAY not be real.

But thats off topic. Would I tell my child? I wouldnt just throw it out there in like first grade "Yea actually Columbus raped and killed people"... But I will find a way to make huim feel the shit he learns in school about Columbus is more of like maybe a myth. Or a vision from someone elses point of view, and tell him he will learn the other side later
