How does 'It's A Compton Thang' compare to they other albums ?.......I know it came out in '90!
I never knew any homies that had it so I never even heard it before...........

I've always had 'Str8 Chec'in' em' and 'Music 2 Driveby' since bac in the day [Classic Shit to me], but I never seen any whiteboys on them cd's.....lol...............WTF happened to playa potna ?



Iz album 'When We Waz Bangin' that dropped in '01 just a Greatest Hits album ??

Also, iz 'Represent' worth coppin' ??????????

IT'S A COMPTON THING's pretty cool...it uses more samples than the other two (that was when sampling was still hip and people weren't yet getting sued). It's a little dated (a number of tracks are Eiht and Chill just boasting about how bad they are), but it's dope and historically important. 10/10

You're right--WHEN WE WUZ BANGIN' is a compilation.

REPRESENT's pretty cool...occasionally, the production sounds a little too retro (like they're trying a little too hard to recreate the '89/'91 vibe), but as reunions go, it's worth copping. 8/10

That shit is tight, Its "dated" cause it came out so long ago. Yea they was boastin, but the shit aint no different then these cats today boasting on how much ice, cars, money they got, that type rap is what this whole rap shit was built on, boasting, comin with the tightest rhymes. They other albums had samples too, they just were off Jazz albums and shit like that so the average cat who didnt listen to jazz wouldnt be able to pick up on that, and would think it was original music.

I've always wondered who that white cat was too, cause he was also on the cover of the Compton Compilation that came out before Its a Compton Thang I think it is DJ ANT

It's A Compton Thang is str8 Classic. That shit was tight as fucc. MC Eiht and Tha Chill MC are like the EPMD of the WestCoast, Switchin rhymes back and forth.

@BlessdawizeGuy...that "whiteboy" you mentioned on the album cover is DJ Ant-C.

I agree, I thought they really brought back the vibe CMW had back in the day. I hope they drop another CD, picking up where this one left off.

MC Eiht needs to hook up with his old homie DJ Slip, without DJ Slip it just dont sound right, plus Tha Chill MC been out of jail now, so I dont see why there wouldn't be another "CMW" album.
I belive MC Eiht and Half Oz records got somthin for us in the near future. Gyeah!!!.
