thinking about that time travel thread made me think about this and i think i'd like it more than time travel. . . .

They need to hurry up and develop some more advanced brain technology.

At a certain point in people’s lives they should be able to volunteer their brain up to the matrix. Say once I hit retirement age instead of my social security check being used to support my old crippled ass it is used to take my brain and put it in a jar to be used for making energy or calculating things or whatever. The trade off could be this . . .

As it creates energy and a potion is used for making calculations or whateve the rest of it is kept “conscious” and allows the person the ability to relive your life eternally over and over as many times and in as many ways as you like.
Remember that girl you saw walking down the street when you were in high school that you wanted to kick game to, but never did?
Well you could go back and do it and live your life as though you had with the power to control the outcomes.
Using the compiled memories from other people you could have unlimited options for new events, new people, new places.
Once you got sick of a scenario your mind could just shift to a new “life”.
Wanted to have a huge orgy with all your favorite porn stars you saw through your life?
Lived your whole real life as some computer dork but really wanted to be a revolutionary?
Wanted bill gates type money and a life to go with it?
Remember the bully in school you always wanted to fight back against?
All could be possible allowing a person unlimited options to “live” a “life” they always wanted, but never had. Or to see how their life would have been if they had made one little change.
Retirement heaven.

Fuck being old and dying, put my brain in the matrix.

I’ll go one step further, i would rather download my conscience into a computer, or computer network. My body will be useless, and fuck reviling old memories, i want my conscience to explorer a new dimension, something that isn’t part of how we are currently living.
