Yes quick punch Ive also read to lower thatency for recording then raise to mix just seems odd cuz I dont get this problem with Nuendo using the M Box..thnx
The way I always did it was I highlighted the area I wanted the punch in to start and end. Then I turned my pre-roll to like "2" and went on from there. I never got a delay and the punch ins were perfect. Don't know if that helped or not
And what I am telling you is a shot in the dark. I don't own an mbox (i have a 002r), and the only time I have experienced a delay in playback (never experienced it during recording) is when I had the buffers set low and high plugin count.

Yea...its on the m-box...when in a session you click on the icon that looks like a line...it's next to the hand icon....then to the left click on the button that says slip..it's next to grid.....then go to the section where you want to punch in at...you simply click on the part where the punch in will start and drag it to where the punch in will end...after that on your transport you will see to the left a little section that says post and pre roll...in pre roll turn it to 2(you turn it back further if you need to)...that will give you 2 bars of leadway before you run into your punch in section...this is how I do it and it's on point....
In a class I took I remember the instructor saying something along these lines. I couldn't tell you if you have when to lower and when to raise correct but what you had sounds about right to me.
