It is obvious that many people on this board have bones to pick, if not, all-out agendas....but what i am wondering is this:

Has anyone ever thought about getting their own show on P.A.T.? And you really cannot say its not available in your area, because one of the things the cable industry MUST provide (in exchange for being able to use PUBLIC PROPERTY to lay their cable lines) is public television.

Political....Entertainment...really doesn't matter. Just wondering if anyone has looked into it, or thinks they could pull it off.

Me myself, i am thinking about it, but i'm not sure how long i'm going to be in my current city--i am trying to transfer to a 4-Year. But once i either transfer, or get a steady job, I want to get a Hip-Hop show crackin'. Not just wet t-shirt contests and low riders, but interviews and discussion mixed with performances and exposes.

Let it be known....

I wouldnt think it'd be too hard. Most of the time, your slot is only a half hour or hour, and only once a week. If you dont want to, you dont even have to record THERE either. You can just take a camcorder around and D.I.Y, and send the tapes in

Anyway...i just wonder sometimes. Because theres people who always say this "big media owns everything", "regular people can't get shows" shit, and never even look into PAT. Experience like this is immesurable, IMO, because not many people have the balls to do it...its like doing a concert for 10 people. Of COURSE its easier when its 100, 200, 500+....but when its 10, it can mean SO MUCH MORE. (Besides...the tape is the only thing that matters....aint nobody trying to look up buyrates for public TV)
