PS3 DVD help needed asap...

i downloaded a dvd and used convertx to dvd to burn it, and put it in my ps3 and i it said "video in the PAL broadcast standard is not supported"...
any ideas on what i did wrong or what i need to do?

the video you downloaded was probably in the PAL format and thus wont play.

pal is a European format....USA uses NTSC.... wrong format homie

You can usually just slap the unconverted avi file on a USB stick, insert it in the USB port off the PS3 & play it from there... that's how I've watched all my movies lately... still haven't watched a DVD yet on the PS3 lol

but its a pal format. the ps3 is ntsc format so it wont play it

i usually just throw the usb into my tv and watch movies like that..i tried it on the ps3 usb slot but doesnt work..wtf

TRY CHANGING THE FORMAT ON THE DVD SPECIFICATION TAB IN THE SETTINGS MENU TO NTSC
