first you need the network adpater that attaches to the back of the ps2 that comes with a installation type disk($35)then with most game,not all,you need a broadband connection,like cable or dsl,then all you need is plug it into the ps2 basiclly,unless you planning on using a router and having them both hooked up at the same time there really isnt much to it

u can indeed use your phone line. but if you have any questions go to like a video game store you know has a employee who look likethey(nerds) know their shit and ask them thats what i did a while back and he broke it down real simple

you can get one for bout $100...they recomend the Linksys BEFSR41 for ps2 gaming, thats what i got it works perfectly everytime...but i'm sure any router will do...

using your regualr phone line will greatly slow down your gaming and make it no even worth trying....make sure you have cable or dsl at least....

that linksys is a good ass router but if you want the same performance for about half the price i would try the d-link DI604,its about 50 bucks and is just plug and play,nothing to it,sometimes you need to forward ports on the linksys and for ppl that dont know abou them it can get complicated,cant go wrong with either though

damn im so confused.....someone explain dsl to a muthafucka that still stuck on 56k...


im looking at getting dsl for my comp and ps2....

basically if i wanted to get it i would have to switch the plug between my comp and ps2 each time i wanted to use each one online right....no big deal? but am i right about this?

that is where a router comes in,you hook your dsl to a router and then you can run a line to your ps2 and to your pc,so you can use both,even at the same time,it just splits the signal.but if you dont have one switchin back and forth would be your only option
