I know this dont belong here, but I know some of you folks know some shit about this.

Heres the dilema:

I got cable internet. Whenver I want to use my PS2 Adaptor or switch back to my PC, I gotta go through the hassle of disconnecting the ethernet cord and reconnecting, etc.

Now what do I need to get to be able to go online and play my PS2 at the same time? Im pretty sick of all that reconnecting, so what should I buy? And I also do not want to loose any kind of internet speed.

Thanks!

Just buy a 4-Port Ethernet Router($40) and a extra Ethernet Cable($5), then hook up your cable modem to the Router and then your ready to hook up your Computer and PS2 to the router and you can play with no problems!

You can find the best and cheapest routers at FRY'S, COMP USA, OFFICE MAX.

Thanks Hog. But I was also hearing something about a "Switch". Is that better than a router?

And what about ISP adresses? Anything I have to worry about that?

Whats everyone elses setup like? And what brands did you buy?

a switch aint gonna carry your internet connection to the other computers. thats what the router does. but now you can get a router with a switch built in.
