it seems when i open protools mess with my mix and all then say i keep my protools window open but play a song in itunes........when i go back to protools i get no sound it will play but no sound ive always wondered why usually i have to restart and all but if their is a simple solution then please tell me

If your using the same audio device to play iTunes that your using for Pro Tools at the same time Pro Tools is running that's a no no. It won't mess anything up but just messes up your systems sound. Use you built in sound for iTunes and use you MBox or M-Audio interface specifically for Pro Tools. And if you want to hear iTunes while using Pro Tools your PC should have regular PC speakers for that not your monitors you use for mixing.
