This is the new album from Flint artists Project Born, "Ghetto Celebs". This is actually a soundtrack to a DVD Movie that their gonna drop early 2004.
1. Intro: crazy skit about Project Born flyin a helicopter to the IMA Sports Arena with all the fans chanin "Project Born". Nothin special here.
2. Put That Bunk Out: The beat on this song is real tight. This song is basically about weed. Project Born's verses are real nice on this one. Good song to open the album with. A+
3. Before I Get In The Club: This is the first single off the album and has been in clubs in Detroit, Flint and Saginaw. This beat has a strage saxaphone sound on it. I didn't like the beat at first but it kinda grows on u after a while. This track features MC Breed. They all have decent verses. This song is str8, not bad but not great either. C+
4. Story To Tell: This track has R&B artists 279 singin the hook. This song is jus talkin bout their life in general. Project Born lay down some good verses. Pretty tight. A
5. We Don't Need That: This song features Bootleg of The Dayton Family and female artists Chocolate and Booka. Bootleg raps the chrous "So where the weed with no seeds at, 5ths of Hen and 50 packs, all my niggas lovin the dro// And all that drama we don't need that, tell me where my G's at, all my niggas trained to go??" They all have nice verses excpet Booka (she's the weak link in Project Mob). Wished Bootleg had a longer verse to but overall the song is coo. B
6. Throw Em Up: The beat is nice. This song is about drinkin and gettin drunk, it's pretty coo. B+
7. It's OK: This is a slow song about the females, somethin new for Project Born. The beat is real mellow and 279 sings the hook. This song is real tight. A-
8. Meet Me Halfway: Another slow song about females. This one is even better than the one above. The beat is real tight and smooth. R&B aritist Katrina sings the hook. Another one of my favs off the album. A+
9. With Me: The beat is nice on this one. This song features Young Rio and Lil Stone and everybody has nice verses. Lil Stone came the hardest. B
10. Is Us: This song has a mellow beat with a nice violin. Lil 1/2 Pint raps the chorus and it goes like this "Cuz it's us// The po kids that nobody can trust// Niggas can't spell shit but we know how to cuss// If my niggas cop a fit then we all can wear it// Hit the lick, cop a brick and we all can share it// Cuz it Us// The po kids who played in the dust// Project niggas never loves hoes, we fuck outta lust// If my niggas cop a fit then we all can wear it// Hit the lick, cop a brick and we all can share it." Pretty tight. B
11. Get Back: This song features Booka. The beat is coo. Frank Nitty disses ICP in his verse callin out Violent J and callin them Insane Clown Pussies. Everybody has nice verses even Booka's was straight. B-
12. Skit: Just a Mob like skit, nothin special here.
13. Murder Music: This is my favorite song from the album. This song go hard as hell. The beat is dark and sinister and kinda reminds you of the old Born Dead days. And they all lay some real cold verses. A+
14. Watch Yo Mouth: This verse feautes damn near the whole Project Mob family. Lil Cheese, Cobe, Bay Jizzy, Lil Stone, and Lil Jay all lay down verses on this song and Project Born is nowhere to be found. They lettin there boys get they shine. The song is aight but it would have been better if Project Born would have had a verse. C
15. I Can Hear Em: This song has a dark beat and it's tight. The whole song is tight. No complaints here. A-
16. You Wouldn't Listen: This song has a real tight beat. Project Born and Bay Jizzy lay down some real nice verses too. Pint actually harmonizes the chrous, which is new but still tight. A
17. We Rollin: This song features E-Moe and Lil Stone. The song is pretty straight. C+
This is one of the best underground albums to come outta Flint in a while. And this is the first Project Born album that has had consistenly good production since "Jack The Reaper". Also Lil Polk raps more, usually it's just Pint and Frank Nitty rappin. I'd give this album a 4/5 rating. This album is defintly a must buy for Flint rap and Project Born fans.
