Problem with my computer or with Cubase?

when i start up my comp or sometimes when im in the middle of using cubase. my comp shuts down and then restarts. this is starting bother me and im curious if anyone else has experienced this before. im using cubase le with the lexicon omega. is this problem with windows interfering with cubase? let me know

If the problem happens while starting up, it's your system rather than Cubase.

Make sure that your computer is not overheating. If doing any kind of overclocking go back to stock settings and see if the problem persists.

Like Sleepy said...sounds like a heat problem, fan may not be working. I had this problem a while ago but it was a virus. The computer would shut down then restart. You may want to look into that. GOOGLE!

That could be caused by a million different things but it's likely a hardware problem. I've had the same thing happen in the past a few times. Once it was a bad power supply. Another time it was a failing fan on the mainboard chipset. It was a bad pci slot.

If you have another computer you can use, I'd try swapping out each part one by one.
