Four bouts: DAN HENDERSON vs. KAZUO MISAKI, RYO CHONAN vs. PAULO FILHO, GEGARD MOUSASI vs. AKIHIRO GOUNO, DENIS KANG vs. AMAR SULOEV have been announced for PRIDE FIGHTING'S upcoming August 26th event, BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2ND ROUND '06. Others scheduled to participate include Takanori Gomi and Ikuhisa Minowa.



PRIDE FIGHTING'S BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2ND ROUND '06 is the second round of an exclusive 16-man welterweight tournament, which will take place on August 26th. The tournament will span three events. BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2ND ROUND '06 is scheduled to debut on North America's Fox Sports Network Sunday, August 27th, 2006 at 7:00pm nationwide.

It has been announced that former IBA champion, ERIC "BUTTERBEAN" ESCH will debut in BUSHIDO SURVIVAL. The 350 pounder has an impressive boxing record of 72 wins (54 KOs), 7 losses and four draws. His opponent will be the giant killer, IKUHISA MINOWA, who has defeated the likes of Giant Silva, Kimo Leopoldo and Phil Baroni. MINOWA also promises to show fans a new style of "heaven" in his fight against BUTTERBEAN who weighs almost twice his weight.

Others scheduled to participate in non-tournament bouts include "The Fireball Kid" TAKANORI GOMI and MITSUHIRO ISHIDA. Four tournament bouts scheduled so far include DAN HENDERSON vs. KAZUO MISAKI, RYO CHONAN vs. PAULO FILHO, GEGARD MOUSASI vs. AKIHIRO GONO, and DENIS KANG vs. AMAR SULOEV.

This card looks way better then UFC62. Nice to see Gilbert Melendez in this card. Are they only gonna show 3 fights on FSN like they did with the last bushido they shown? Or are they gonna show a good amount of them??
