with normal votes and tight rappers cause all the rappers were garbage and every caller was a rapper... so every vote was "they both weak but ill go for number 2 cause i know i could serve him" how do i know this you ask, i was in the kmel studio dropping my mix tape to sway scottie fox and von....
the bay area has an ego issue which i am just as guilty of as the next man but, until we swallow our pride and start giving props where they are deserved and not as a token conversational peice we are fucked.... im tired of telling people they tight when i know they suck...... im tired of being judged because im white and im an asshole so thats how you judge my music.... all of you cats on here jump on anybody dick at all cost to alline yourself wit that person.... have you not listened to the interview with me and kee??? either yall some bitches or are not intuned wit whats about to happen right here in the bay in 2k3.... the game is over survival of the fittest... I see where alot of folks can take this post wrong...cause if I didn't know Dutch personally I would be like FUCK THIS CAT....but being that I do, I can take this with a grain of salt and say...Dutch is being Dutch and this is just how he really feels and he don't care what folks think. I feel he is right in ways where the business & indie market in our area is at it's pressure point. I have seen alot of folks losing their tempers recently...me included, not on a BIG PUBLIC SCALE...but I have. I don't agree that people should give up trying but I do feel people/artists these days seem to be afraid to give props to those that are tight and go buy they albums. It's like some think they doubting themselves if they go and pick that one cd up and then get online and say "aye dawg, you tight, you got flow and I am a fan of your music".....label owners and artists.

Shyt, we all fans man....every single one of us. You read interviews with well known "established" artists and they will let you know when asked who influenced them and who they are big fans of....no fear of thinking just cause they give the next man props that they made themselves look like suckaz. When I buy some of yall cats indie music...I let it be known that shyt....I dig it or I wasn't feelin one part of it...etc. Ain't nothin hard about it at all. Shyt....I bought Mr.Bilistic's shyt and this is exactly what I told him..."I got ya cd man, check it....I think you do "real" music, not just rap and I just wanted to let you know...I am a fan of your work". Just because I am a Ceo or Artist don't make me feel like I cant come real to someone on my same level in my same hustle.

Shyt, there is a big ego problem in this business I see it all the time....and yes Dutch is real guilty of it as well. To me he's just one of them people that speaks they mind regardless of what light he is seen in......the risk in that is this; you gonna lose alot of fans or you gonna gain some die hard real ones. It's a risk he's willing to take. I can't say that I am that same way....in ways I am but in more ways I am apt to hold my tongue and just keep on movin doin my thang.

I know I am gettin of subject here but this is why Bart is dope...you can ramble on about the game and "most" people here are gonna read it and give good feedback, be it negative or positive. The thing that I guess has been bugging me most is the arguements I see with cats who have not dropped one single album, ep, snippet etc....but have SO much to say to the man/artist/label who has done so. It's like nobody has respect no more or maybe it's become too easy for folks to put out cd's. It bugs the shyt out of me, I can't lie....you got cats who have no album or an album they been promoting for 2 years that aint even near done but got so much negative shyt to say about the bay area. What happen to lettin ya music speak for you? I know folks who call themselves bosses in my own city and got not "1" fucken cd unda they belts. Where did all this change? Respect is earned man and talkin down on those who have a "catalog" and been doin it for a while ain't gonna earn you shyt....you gotta feel me on this....somebody does. My motto is this.....I like the cats on here who say, "I don't do music and don't have a creative bone in my body when it comes to it but as a fan here are my thoughts and oppinions....", I love and respect that because they are truely giving you their insights. What I don't like is when you have someone who gives you oppinions and criticism on your shyt, says they are an artist or label or up and coming but has yet to even take steps in the direction of doing "exactly" what they advising you about. Can you feel me?

Regardless of all this....I think if you feel it in your heart..don't give up and even if you are one of them cats who is guilty of the above, don't give up....just tread lightly and think before you speak on the next cat who already been there and done that....

I agree tadou, that is a big problem with the bay is chargin hella scrill for verses n beats. Obviously you get what you pay for but the bay has to get real fuckin hungry again like hip hop was a newborn again. Cane I honestly don't see cats chargin alot for BEATS...Verses MAYBE but not beats...I mean I continue to charge bottom of the barrell prices an u also got cats like Black C chargin like $400 etc...I mean that's a fuckin DEAL...Especially for someone who has made a name for themselves...Try goin out East an see how much cats charge. This has been a strange read for me. Being out of Australia I aint really schooled in on how things go down over in the states in this rap game. Nothing hits the shelves except that sellout shit so the whole bay area been a long journey for me. I used to listen to all that Awol shit and spice1 and 40 years ago but I didnt know where they were out of, I just liked their shit, the whole east coast west coast wasnt a thing over here till recently. the first underground shit I got that changed the game for me and introduced me to other rappers out the bay was this is how we lay low from million dollar dream and the package and from there I been bridging out, I know they wouldnt be considered underground over there but here they were completely uknown. In fact would you believe I got those 2 in the bargain bin a couple of years back for 20 bucks (our dollars worth half yours and most our imports on the shelf cost around 50 bucks). One disc leads to another and so on. When I first placed an order over the internet I had a few lucky picks, some of the discs I picked up were gems but nowadays I rarely order a disc that I have no idea about. I usually read something over the net from someone who likes similair shit to me or querie a disc that looks tight usually on Bayridaz, I'm fairly new to the siccness and I will swoop something a little less known up. With the introduction of sactownradio I get a better feel for shit now.

Ive had Mr Kees album 14kt dreams for a while. I got that tales from the sicc and Almost famous comp which opened my eyes to what all you fellas been bringing and recently purchased everything J-locc had for sale which included that hustlin city 2 city disc out from Dugout and am currently in the process of placing a similair order with Dutch. Let the sales of your albums speak for themself, its gonna take time for people to hear what you got but that time will come. People always going to hate on what you do, you guys are coming up, your out there doing it dedicated to the game but more importantly believing in your game. Alot of people cant be fucked getting off their arse and changing their lives for the better, they would rather look for someone else to blame for their misfortunes or think up one excuse or another. Leave the bullshit behind and fuck anybody that going to try to hold you back.

I recently got accepted into University and quit smoking weed. Alot of my friends resented the fact that I was doing something with my life and couldnt stand the fact that I was able to quit smoking weed and they couldnt give it up. The moment I quit everyone wanted to pack us up, in fact they were pleading me to smoke one. Its been a few months now so people calmed down and respect my decision to quit but their are a few friends I dont see as often. I know Ive gotten of the topic a bit but thats my two cents.
