Where can I find info/stats on which US presidents have come from a wealthy upbringing and those who came from lower-middle class families?

Obamas Grandparents were rich. His Grandma was the head of the biggest bank in Hawaii. His mother was only on food stamps while she was pursuing a ivy league college degree. And exactly how is the rest History? We know nothing of Obama other then the few things we hear on MSLGTV. Microsoft lesbian gay transgender television.

^ That might be true, but Obama painted a much different picture in his book. He talked about how his grandma always got passed over at the bank cuz she was a woman and how the grandpa had to move from kansas to hawaii to get a job at a furniture store because he was unemployed. When he got back from Jakarta, he got accepted to some nice school. I dunno where the money came from. He said at the end of his grandparents lives, his grandpa was working some shitty insurance job and was pretty much pissed at how his life turned out.

^^His Grandma was the President of one of, if not the biggest bank on the islands. His mother left him with his Grandparents, to travel abroad, where do you think that money came from? She and he both went to Ivy League Universitys. BTW I dont know how much history they have in Kansas, because they always leave out the fact that his mother graduated from Mercer Island High School here in Washington State. As far as I know his Grandmother was also a Bank President here as well. Struggling and being middle class does not calculate with at least 2 in the family attending Ivy League Colleges, and Obamas private Schooling. I believe we are being lied to.

Easy way to find out: Repbulicans = wealthy, domecrats = middle class

Well.....

Despite popular stereotypes of Republicans as the party of the rich and Democrats as the party of the working class, the wealthiest member of the Senate (John Kerry of Massachusetts) and the wealthiest member of the House (Jane Harman of California) are both Democrats. Of the top six wealthiest senators, five are Democrats.

John Kerry, D-Massachusetts: $163,626,399
Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin: $111,015,016
John Rockefeller, D -West Virginia: $81,648,018
Jon Corzine, D-New Jersey: $71,035,025
Dianne Feinstein, D-California: $26,377,109
Peter Fitzgerald, R-Illinois: $26,132,013
Frank Lautenberg, D-New Jersey $17,789,018
Bill Frist, R-Tennessee: $15,108,042
John Edwards, D-North Carolina: $12,844,029
Edward Kennedy, D-Massachusetts: $9,905,009

haha Democrats are some of the USA most elite. They pretend to be middle class and for the middle class, while actully hurting the Middle class and poor, by giving you false hope that they will make your life better, and buying your lifelong dedication with handouts and entitlement progams. The problem is if indeed DemocRATS where for the poor, theyd be out of business, beacuse once they solve all your personal problems, make sure your every need is met, make sure that you make good money, you may switch to a Republican, because you want to Pay less taxes!

Barak Obama has made 6 million on his book deal, so hes getting up there. Also Joe Biden has made millions, while only donating 2,000 dollars to charity in the past 6 years! True Champion of the poor! The Liberals love charity, as long as its not coming out of their own pockets! how much has MR Global Warming made, Not to mention how much money slick Willy and his wife have made since leaving office! And so what? I smell alot of hating of rich people.

Fuck the Republicans and Democrats. But you'e sitting here talking about book deals and what not which is pocket change to the kind of money the military industrial complex racks in. Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Carlyle Group, General Electric, and Northrop Grumman Corporation, etc.. You heard of these? All major military manufactures that are in constant competition. And guess which of the two bullshit ass parties love national defense and military spending...you got it the GOP. Also I'd like to say that those numbers Mr. Nice Guy provided seems to represent the minimum net worth of the members and not necessarily their maximum net worth which includes assets.

^^So whats your point? You dont believe in a strong Military? How many people do these companys employ in the USA? Would you prefer that we have a weak Military, and less jobs? But hey look, Barry already stated he will cut 10s of billions of dollars in defense spending. All the while, the wondeful Chicoms and other nations will continue to advance their own Military technology, leaving us vunerable.

My point is simple: The military industrial complex makes racks in more money than you and I can imagine. And no I don't prefer a weak military, I prefer a military that serves its intended purpose and not for profit.

I agree with that, the problem is there are no checks and balances for them they answer to no one. Greed and $ cloud judgement, I don't see how you can overhaul all the corruptness that is already in place.

^^I agree with both of your points, checks and balances are good. But the Libs are not going to be the ones who do proper check and balances, they will decimate our Military and leave us weak. And again I am glad that there are Americans who are profiting from that, as well as global enterprises that will encourage prosperity across the world, hence encouraging more freedoms, and better ways of life that will in the long run make everyones life safer and better. I look at the positives of a strong defense, and the huge huge amount of jobs that are created. To me thats win win for all of us.
