possible to record audio from cd/mp3 to my mpc 1000?

Im sure it is but as Im new and losing my cool I need a lil advice/instruction.
Ive tried but with no luck. I run lexicon omega w/cubase. I have the mpc plugged in to my sound card from record in but Im not recieving any recording

if your recording to the mpc you wanna got out from the sound card into the inputs on the mpc. If your recording from the mpc to the pc then just do it the other way.

Your english is very hard to interpret and I can read heiroglyphics....

anyways if you are trying to sample from your computers c.d.....
1.run a cable from the output of your soundcard..to the input of the mpc

I have the mpc3000 and when sampling i have analog inputs and digital inputs....and in the sample menu i need to specify whether I wanna record from my analog input or digital input

I need more memory...can I upgrade with a flash card or do I need to upgrade the harddrive?
