I used to have one, that shit was tight. I had the frequencys to cordless phones too... I used to eavesdrop on all the neighbors phonecalls. I found out my boy's girl was pregnant before he did. If youre looking for frequencys, Radio Shack sells a book that has hella them.

I currently work at radioshack. We do sell em there. We also have the software where once you buy one we program it will bout 10BANKS of the TRUNKING SYSTEM of shit which is like 5 countys and shit. Each radioshack has the programing for your local area. Best to get it from us cause no one else has the software to program. Takes about 5min to program everything. We hook up a cable and the computer loads the shit directly to the scanner. 149.99 and you would want the 1000channel one. PRO 98 is the best. lower models dont pick up as much.

I have had 2 police scanners for some time...

One I bought a few years ago on Ebay because it was the last model to not have the cell/cordless frequencies blocked out....But now that most everyone is on digital cellys and higher frequency cordless's, it doesn't do me that good.

The other is a trunking scanner but around here the police have not adopted trunked systems....

Nonetheless, scanners are GREAT....But be prepared, if u roll around with one and get pulled over, the cops will be SO suspicious....trust me I've had it happened lol

So just to make sure I understand, if I bring my 2 year old scanner to my local Radio Shack, they'll program it? I mean I THINK I have all the frequencies already but hell if it's free then it's worth a trip
