POLICE PUNCH, KICK SUSPECT WHO RAMMED POLICE CAR, FLED
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol will determine if four police officers stepped over the line in punching and kicking a suspect on Monday. The alleged altercation followed a police chase that began in the St. Louis suburb Maplewood and ended in the city of St. Louis. Live television showed much of the chase, and the beating of the suspect. It was not clear how much resistance the man was providing. The suspect is identified as 33-year-old Edmond Burns, who was hospitalized. Three of the officers are from the Maplewood department. One was from St. Louis. Their names were not released. Authorities say the Highway Patrol will investigate. Maplewood Police Chief James White cautioned against jumping to conclusions based upon the video.

no matter what a suspect does.It doesnt give the cops the right to beat them especially when their already on the ground or in handcuffs. The Missouri highway patrol is crooked.I should know since I live here.It seems like everyday theres a billion incidents where cops beat somebody, get caught with child pornography, etc. Then cops wonder why they dont get respect.Maybe it was a accident that he rammed the police car????

i got 20 that says they get off scott free :(
they always do!!!!!!The cops always say that they'll do a investigation and that the cops will be punish.Just to make it seem like their doing something but the truth is cops think that there always right.in their minds they think that the supsect was the one doing wrong and the cops were right so nothings going to happen.A month from now the cops will still have their jobs and not get punished or fired. It happens over and over again all over the country not just in Missouri.
