PASADENA, Calif. (AP) ― Police and coroner's officials are investigating the death of a man whose body was found sitting upright on a sofa inside the Pasadena home he shared with his wife, who apparently suffers from dementia.
Pasadena police Lt. Randell Taylor says the man appeared to have been dead for two to four months.
Police responded to a call Thursday from a concerned neighbor who had not seen the man or his wife for months.
When officers knocked, a woman in her mid 70s came to the door.
Taylor says she appeared to have dementia and started babbling.
Officers eventually entered the home and found the man's body on the couch.
Taylor says foul play is not suspected.
The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
