please help an infortunate computer ignorant out.

so ive had a new computer for about 7 months...all was well till one day the whole thing crashed...so i ordered up some repair discs from HP and had a restoration cd ready to boot...well i restart the damn thing, but theres some shit missing.

the program that came w the cd r is gone...i put in a blank cdr and its supposed to start by itself...well now it just gives me the option of opening up some folder that god knows what its for and it tells me that the cdr program is gone...so now i have to use a completely different way to record using some windows program that half the time i cant even figure out.

then there is the dvd rom...the program to play dvds is also gone...so everytime i put in a dvd it gives me some shit about not having the proper programs to run dvd b;a bl;a bla fucking bla.

my question is...

what the fuck is going on?...

what the hell is a restoration disc for if its not even going to bring up all my original shit...whats the point of HP sending me a set of 8 cds all used for installation if i still dont get my original programs running.

what do i have to do?...i wish there was a special button on your computer...if you want to restart the whole fucking thing over...just push the fucking button...goddamn bill gates.

restoration cds return your computer to its factory state, meaning most programs are gone, all of the files you had before, gone, it basically makes your comp like it was in the factory before any unneccasary programs were put on it

yeah so any programs you put on yourself, you will need to put on again.

go to kazaa and download whatever program you need.

there is software, that you can install where you can return your machine to a previous state, but in all my years using computers, i never had the need to use anything like that.
