I just purchased a large group of rap cds and one was Playya 1000 Mo' Drama. Does anyone know what the item is worth? I have heard his cds sell over $100, but I haven't had any personally. I am planning on trying ebay. What does everyone think?

shit you should go through my auctions, you can find some of those Playya 1000's ending for 500+++....somewhere back in like october or so...I had about 10 of each of them for a while, sold most of them off of ebay but the ones that sold on ebay did well.....Mo Drama pulled 250 the first time but the other times sold between the price ranges I gave you earlier on the post

do you have a list of all the stuff you won in that group of cds, I just wanna see what you came up on....or a link of the auction of the cds you won

I don't have a list made up from the lot. There wasn't a lot of rare stuff other than that really. A couple others that might be worth mentioning were Tru Tru 2 Da Game with "Smokin Green", Top Authority Rated G, Master P Ghetto Tryin to Kill Me Rerelease, Playa Fly Movin On, some older No Limit stuff, and a bunch of just normal popular rap, like DMX, 2Pac, NWA, Notorious BIG, Bone Thugs, stuff like that. I can't believe they used to sell for $500 plus. That seems crazy to me. I think I will be happy with $100. Thanks Grim!

Yeah, I sell on ebay a lot, for 5 years or so, but I opened a cd store here in Warrensburg about 2 years ago. I remember your username on ebay too. Actually, you have helped me out by finding out what is rare and what isn't by checking out your auctions. You are an ebay pro.

thats really tight....I always wanted to open a store and all but there were numerous factors that deterred me from doing so....if I had a better knowledge of overall cds in general I wouldnt hesitate because I feel that if people know what they are doing with used cd stores they could do very well, most of the people running them do not sell alot of their great finds on ebay or arent knowledgeable enough about all genres to know what is worth alot of money....I know you have a good knowledge because I have peeped your auctions out often......you are in a good location there with that college, I bet you get alot of good stuff from the students......I try to hit up Lawrence stores whenever I go to visit my parents cause the kids down there be dropping off alot of stuff from various parts of the country since alot of different people go to KU.........I will try to hit up your store next time I come through Warrensburg

The town isn't bad for product coming in, the college helps for sure, I go to the Independence a lot, buy a bunch from ebay too. I agree that few indie record stores have the knowledge of what sells and what doesn't. I try to have a pretty good idea on stuff other than just music though, just to help make a little extra money on what comes in that is rare. Games, movies, shit like that too.

yeah Independence is one of the main places I buy here in town, I know the managers at both those stores on Noland road fairly well, the one at Wherehouse music typically calls me whenever they get anything good in so that tends to help.....I would love to be able to have in store traffic like they get, they get some great stuff, a company like that would really do well if they invested in a person to go through their inventory and pick out stuff to sell online for them, I dont think they realize how well they would do
