you typically dont buy american games from an import site.
you have to understand that, the us is not the target market for the us releases they carry. if you lived in japan, buying a us release on the other hand is a great deal.
their video game economy is much different than our market. we have standard prices (and usually much lower) than they have. a standard jp release runs about 80$
if you're buying from that site you should be looking at asian and jp releases, not usa and pal versions.

about 15.00 less than the us version.
you picked a bad example with third birthday. typically asian releases are cheaper than US versions. and most are region free. you dont need to own a foreign console.
