ESPN - Giants second-year receiver Steve Smith was robbed at gunpoint in the early hours of Nov. 25 after arriving home, according to police.

Smith had just returned to his townhouse in a chauffeur-driven car when he was reportedly approached from behind by man who held a gun to Smith's head.

"He said to him, 'Give me everything you got,' and Mr. Smith turned over his jewelry and money and cell phone," Clifton, N.J. police captain Robert Rowan said Tuesday.

The man left the scene and is still being sought.

Nobody gives a shit about your two friends...Burress is a super bowl champion who caught the game winning pass.

Dude was in a nightclub with witnesses who saw him limpin' off like a dumbass.

HAHA.....

I heard that NY changed the law to 3 and a half years mandatory after the P Diddy case.

if they aint got the gun then fuck em if burress plays this right he can get off and the DA and mayor bloomberg is gonna have to eat it
damn, if your going to make a topic bout this then at least know what your talking about. antonio pierce took plax's gun back to his home in new jersey (drove criminal evidence across state lines, could get pierce in trouble too) and the cops recovered the gun in that home the next day.

Who told that Pierce had the gun? Should have throw it in a lake well he had the chance but if your going to carry a unregisterd fire arm to a club with the toughest gun laws in the US and shoot yourself prepare to get hung out to dry. Plus your a public figure of a Major sports team you better believe there going to throw the book at you just ask Vick.

According to an ''expert'' on espn earlier today, he'll more than likely face probation, as the gun wasn't used in direct threat to any person. I understand that with NY's strict gun laws (thanks, Bloomburg), they plan on prosocuting him ''to the full extent of the law'', but with the mayor saying ''especially'' someone in the limelight, as he's a ''role model'' to kids, I think that's ridiculous. Do not single him out as an example; if he should be prosocuted, ''just like everyone else'', treat him ''just like everyone else'', and don't use his celebrity status to prove your point, mayor.

Also...someone out there might pick up a very, very good WR in the near future, as there's rumbling that he won't play for the Giants again.

i was just sayin to someone that u have to either roll with 4 linemen to the club with no gun, or not go out at all. that is if u dont want to risk your job. Nfl doesnt even have guaranteed contracts, and ur gonna fuck up ur new contract with a gun? and SHOOT urself? people fuck up their shit in every sport, but come on now, we should all know by now that the nfl doesnt fuck around.

It will interesting after all this legal shit is over (I'm predicting probation or combined with a short time in sissy la' la' land) on where Plax's ass ends up. We know he's not a NY Giant anymore. I'm just glad Pittsburgh, Cowher and Dan Rooney never put up with his bullshit back in the day....
