First of all, a Big Thanks to Danny Dee and everybody involved in putting this event together, people don't truly appreciate all the time, work, money, stress, etc that goes into something like this. Thank you to Danny for continuing to make the effort to do events like this, when the Bay is starting to win again, we need this so cats can really understand what needs to be done to be successful in this industry.
There were good and bad things about the day, it was all positive, that was great, no drama, and some great knowledge was given out during the panels and the stage shows. The only dissapointment, is that the real big Bosses continue to not show up to these events. Although I know it's designed for the younger artists to network and learn about the industry, it would be so much bigger and more official if some of the bigger names would come out and just put the stamp on it, certify and validate it. We can't move forward if we ain't together, that's the biggest problem in the Bay, WE ARE DIVIDED! Also we need a bigger turnout, not just the bosses, the Bay just needs to show up and show out, we have a momentum right now, when we have something like this, WE NEED TO ALL BE TOGETHER, this event was FOR US!
Anyways, special shouts out to Mistah F.A.B. who did his thing on stage talking about this Bay Movement, then performed and ripped a 6 minute freestyle off the dome, and also spoke passionately at the end of the last panel about giving back to the community through his music and his radio show. But the person who I wanna give it up to most is Kontac who spoke before F.A.B. did, this cat really deserves our respect, he is doing such big things for the kids and our communities, and he doesn't ask for anything back for it, THOSE ARE BOSS MOVES! He doesn't look for bragging rights. This man is sitting at tables with politicians, he's traveling the country. Thank you again for what you said homie, I think you helped to wake some people up, even though a lot of ignorant fucks in the crowd were laughing and talking, those are the ones you can't do shit about. Also Sean Kennedy spoke great about the community at the end. Thank you to industry heavyweights like Wendy Day, Will Brunson, MTV, etc for coming out, THIS IS HUGE, 2 years ago, THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. THE LIGHT IS ON US RIGHT NOW, TAKE ADVANTAGE! Good day, keep up the work Danny and everybody else, it will continue to grow.
Here's a list of some of the people I remember being there, I know this is not close to everybody, so if I left somebody out, add to it, and if you got pictures, add to mine.....
