Universal is aiming to start shooting as early as October of this year, with the idea for the first CHRONICLE OF RIDDICK to hit theaters the following October of 2003! They are aiming to push the limits of PG-13 or "just fuck it and go for an 'R.' The tone and subject matter certainly lends itself to the latter."

maybe i missed something...who is riddick and what is pitch black??
and about kingpin - i'm one of those "the closer to the comic book the better" type of guys so i say they should have used butterbean. i'm not a racist its just that i'm going to have a hard time really seeing duncan as kingpin.

It came out in 2000 and starred Vin Diesel (Fast & the Furious, Triple XXX) as "Richard Riddick." A real sleeper.
I agree about Duncan as Kingpin though. As much as I like Mike, The Kingpin has always been a fatass white dude. I wouldn't bring in Butterbean though, he's no actor by a long shot. I can't think of a big enough anglo actor off the top of my head right now who I would give the nod to. I'll come up with some would-be candidates later.
