one of them still lives up here, and one of them moved to L.A. and opened Phat FX which is one of the biggest design companies in the industry now, they've worked with all kinds of major aritsts and movie companies, etc

Phunky Phat Graph-X is basically the origination of animated crazy graphic album covers, in the early 90's they started coming with the colorful imaginative covers, illustrating sometimes farfetched ideas, after them, Pen & Pixel took it to another level and after them well u know.......

there were basically 3 designers in the Bay Area in the early and mid 90's, Phunky Phat, Victor Hall and Todd D Smith so pick a cover and one of them most likely did it and any of the crazy lookin colorful ones are most likely Phunky Phat

i'm sure others can post some examples

i remember we got sum flyers done by them for a house party we was having in like 97
they was based in san leandro and i remember we was up there and suga T was there in sum lil ass skirt and she bent over right in front of us with out bending her knees and i had a huge boner cuz i was a young horny ass teenager
she had a big ass donkey
i will always remember that moment ahha

p.s the flyer suuuucked hella bad hahha
but it was coo that it had the phunkyphat grafix logo and people was jockin

1 of my fav covers is the GLP Straight Out The Labb (tape only cuz the cd got that lame flame background around it...

LOL @ the Suga T story...she was always wearin some revealing ass shit. Saw her at Rasputins one time and couldnt stop staring...she was walking around wearing almost nothin

for some reason i always though that 5150 was done by Phunky Phat Graph-X. anybody have any scans of their recent work?

Didn't Phunky Phat work under their other business name "Underwood Works"? I would place orders through Underwood Works for all my bay area posters and t-shirts, and from what I remember the Phunky Phat designers were in the same building.
