Photoshop 6 built in chrome filter XP

since i put Photoshop 6 on XP, i haven't installed any plug-ins.

And you know how wack the built in chrome is, well, since usin XP, the chrome effect looks 10 X better in the preview window, but when you come to lay down the effect, its wack as usual!

can anyone help me out here please?

If you wanna be a better Designer . . . stay away from the "plug-ins"

yea pretty much all plugins are messed up, use tutorials, they work better, because you can adjust the settings while you do them, or keep em the same if u want, but they look better than plugins.

the previews can look different at times since theyre somewhat magnified.

Adjust the settings to your tastes....

yeah i done one tutorial where you use lighting effects for the chrome, but it looked cheese. i guess ima have to put in a little time on that one. thanks for the input anyway fam.
