yeah, every year they got it up in san francisco in the filmore and in berkeley on the oakland border....I was up there with my son & mom on father's day....

I Imagine its just like my grandma moved here from texas in the 50’s and started a Juneteenth festival in the north bay but yea it did originate in Texas but it’s a pretty national cultural thing now…..Kinda like Mardi Gras (not the same meanining) But originated in NO but people do stuff for it everywhere now....good things spread I guess, But I lived in the Bay and Houston my whole life and the Juneteenth festivals in Texas are on a whole nother level
