hmmm... I heard they got hacked today.... anyone who has upgraded?

I like the browser.. but this Photobucket issue is being blamed on FireFox 3 by a lot of people on the net. It doesn't help that one minute I am on FireFox 2 everything is good... upgrade... its all gone.

I guess it could be a coincidence? I also heard Photobucket put out a statement on their forums that its a DNS issue.. nice since I can't access their forums thanks to the same DNS issue... dumb asses...?

FireFox 3 Photobucket Problem Resolved? I think....

Flush your DNS cache.

1) Go to the start menu... from the start menu, click on "Run"
2) Type the letters cmd in the box.
3) Another window will pop up.... type the following: ipconfig/flushdns
4) Press Enter Button
5) You will get confirmation... dns has been flushed or some thing like that...
6) Type the word Exit
7) Everything should be reset and working.

..... :knockout:

I didnt get that problem.

But imo this new firefox 3 isnt no faster or better then 2.0. IMO I like 2.0 better bc it had the real player recording feature.

I tried to downgrade back to 2.0 but It wont let me even after a system restore..

Thanks fam, I know you got the most knowledge on here with pc problems.

Do you think I should go back to the 2.0.0.14? bc my only reason would be so i can still have the Real Player media download option plug in or do you think there will be a new one for 3.0 in a few weeks

Make Your Extensions Work with the Firefox 3

Now that you're running Firefox 3 the first thing it'll tell you is that your extensions aren't compatible with the new version. Don't panic. It's true that many Firefox extension developers haven't updated their add-ons to work with Firefox 3. But in many instances, this is just a matter of the extension reporting back to the application that it isn't yet compatible, even though the add-on might work anyway. Instead of waiting for your favorite extensions to get updated, you can tell Firefox to enable them no matter what.
There are two ways to do this:

  • Download the Nightly Tester Tools extension. Once it's installed and you've restarted, your Firefox 3 Add-ons dialog will have a "Make all compatible" button, as pictured. Press that puppy to make your extensions work with Firefox 3 (after a restart, that is).

Note that you may still get a message about extensions that don't "provide secure updates" even after hitting this button. Use about:config as detailed below for a workaround to the secure updates issue.
  • Manually edit Firefox 3's configuration to run extensions no matter what. Here's how to edit about:config values to get Firefox 3 to use your favorite extensions.
