should phil jackson be considered one of the best nba coaches of all time? he has 9 rings so why not? people seem to be split on this, he's won all his rings with lots of talent. he had jordan and co. in chicago and now has kobe,shaq and co. in los angeles. would he be able to coach and team with less talent, like the pistons to the finals? Larry Brown has outcoached him since this series started. Phil has not been able to get his players to respond. Im leaning towards a "no" vote. i just think that he has inherited good teams

you could also look at it this way it takes a lot to keep egos in check

lakers basically had the same players when phil took over but they couldn't win

but with phil they won

so to me it's what you define as a coach

Man Phil a good coach but its the Malone and Payton shit the whole team is choking but 4 no reason but I guess they stop choking this game when they see that Malone didn't pay enough 2 NOT get his ring

There's no doubt that Phil Jackson is one of the greatest coaches ever in the NBA. The only thing you can argue about is his rank on the list.

Yea u right, same goes wit da Bulls.

Basically he takes good teams that are on da verge of winnin' da big one, and gets them ova da top.

I do wanna see him coach a weak team tho.

phil is a good coach who has had the luck to coach shaq, pippen and mj............hes good but hes definately not the best ever prolly red aurabauch (or however u spell his damn name) lenny wilkens (the only coach to win a championship without a hall of famer)

Yea he's definitely not da greatest eva, cause he coached da best playaz at their position(and yall know who they are) evy year. Besides he's not even da creator of da triangle offense, Tex Winters is.

So in otha words, is he one of da best eva? Witout a doubt.

Is he da greatest coach eva? Nope

phil jackson da best coach bitch...nuff said...wit da bulls it was easy cuz of mj they lost in 94 cuz no jordan and they lost in 95 cuz jordan didn't really practice and train fo da season...they came back in 96 cuz they just had it with new players rodman kukoc and ya know phil jackson could go on wit dat....wit da lakers they aint won a championship till phil jackson got with them and u see they won 00 01 02 but they lost 03 guess it wasn't there year and they got to da finals 04 but they fucked up somehow -nobodies perfect- if lakers aint fuck up and played wit confidence and moved around and played how they played in game 2 in over time then they would have beatin da pistons they are way better then pistons and pistons know it they knew lakers fucked up....next year lakers are gonna win...phil jackson da greatest coach ever
