i kno u have to be like at least somewhat physically in shape..and i meran SOMEWHAT..my pops is in no means healthy...but u do have to pass certain tests..my pops been smokin since we 13..he is like 53 now...definetly overweightgwith his military past def helped..i kno if u are obese..and young u wontget it..which is eird becuz u dont do physical work..i just think cuz u hear crazy shit....its a liability
Davey...In Vallejo they are ALWAYS hiring dispatchers....Look at the City of Vallejo website or you can pick up an application at City Hall in the Human Resources department. I think you need HS diploma or equivalent. I was thinking about doin it years ago, but I have heard horror stories about people who have been really affected by the job. Could you imagine having to talk to a 7 year old kid who just watched his mom get choked out by her crackhead boyfriend or some shit like that? I know it would fuck with me.
man fuck that job.. shits awful. unless you just dont have any type of compassion or empathy at all i wouldnt do it because the shit would just affect you too much. i can only imagine some of the shit that goes down over the phone - a couple of examples were posted in here earlier.
honestly if someone called me up and said you're the last person ill ever talk to and ill be watching you and then shot themselves i dont think id be tripping that much. theyre obviously fucked up if they shot themselves in the head so they must have been on some im going to try and bring someone down to my miserable level one last time before i get outta this place type of shit. id just be mad i couldnt talk the dumb ass out of it and he decided to waste my time out of everybody. guy coulda wrote a damn note or something
