Pedro Martinez has passed a physical and will sign with the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, a major-league source confirmed to FOXSports.com senior baseball writer Ken Rosenthal.
The agreement was originally reported by Yahoo and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The deal is $1 million for one year, with Martinez making another $1.5 million based on incentives.
Martinez, 38, hasn't pitched this season and his last bit of comparable major-league work came in the World Baseball Classic in March.
Martinez threw 109 innings with a 5.61 ERA and 5-6 record for the Mets last season. A year prior, he managed only 28 innings due to injury.
