you can do it by reinstalling windows and when you do that you can create a partition like say u had 100g hd u can make 50 - 50 or 48 - 52 whatever you like.

You can install windows on one half and have the other for data.

but dont use vista its too buggy right now, stick with xp for a while

yes partition magic lets you break your HD into various virtual HD's... or you can combine partitions. Like my comp came with 2 partitions cause of the restore data HP puts on it and i just combined both partitions to have more space on 1 drive.

Yes. Having your OS in one partition and games, music, and apps in another makes your comp run alot faster.

I don't know why, but it does.

I always have IT at my work partition my shit when I change or get a new computer. It makes a fuck lot of difference mate.

Make the main your primary...also it is set as the active partition , set your second partition as "logical". and it should come after the Primary on the display.

Also, make sure you don't have ANYTHING running in the background. Disconnect from the internet...etc. You don't want anything interrupting partition magic at all. Or you screwed.

Its good to make say a 15gb partition with ur OS and major programs on it, and stick everything else on the second partition.

Btw fuck windows vista.
but sucks having to copy and paste to get like say something from your desktop, to c > a different partition

everything will paste you have to hold shift while moving shit its pretty annoying
